Patina Miller

Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the main actor in Stephen's famed 1971 musical "Pippin" on Broadway. In the show, Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus directed "Pippin" and also starred Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin. Terrence Mann and Matthew James Thomas were the actors who also starred. Patina put her own contemporary take on the award-winning Benjamin Vereen's performance and was able to master the Fosse dance moves which are vital to the production. Patina was nominated for an Tony Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award and a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award. Additionally, she won a Drama League Award as Best Actress for a Leading Role and an Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Actress for a musical. In December 2012 through December 2012, she performed as the lead role in American Repertory Theatre's production of Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
