Mischa Barton

Barton Barton, an British American actor, is a part of the cast on television, film and the theatre. Barton has made her New York City debut at the Lincoln Center with Tony Kushner's Slavs! James Lapine's Twelve Dreams was her first part. Her acting debut came in her appearance as a cameo on All My Children. In the Nickelodeon cartoon series KaBlam!, she also was the voice of one of the characters. She worked in television from 1996 to 1997. Her first notable acting role was in Lawn Dogs, a drama that starred Sam Rockwell. In 1999, she was a part as a character in M. Night Shyamalan's psycho-drama The Sixth Sense and the romantic comedy movie Notting Hill. Also in 1999, she made an appearance in Pups which was a crime thriller that was created by an independent company. Barton was Evan Rachel Wood's lover on the ABC series Once and Again in 2001 and in the independent film Lost and Delirious in 2001. She portrayed Marissa Cooper in the 2003-2006 season of The O.C. Fox TV series The O.C., for which she received two Teen Choice Awards. Barton was rated the "It Girl in 2003" by Entertainment Weekly because she played Marissa Cooper's role. Barton was a part of the cast since 2003 in the comedic St Trinian's as well as the drama Closing the Ring directed by Richard Attenborough and the drama Closing the Ring.
